Since 1264, Fabriano has been making paper for all uses. The mill invented both the surface sizing and watermark. They are always looking for better and more environmentally friendly ways to make paper, from the raw materials to hydropower. Fabriano is, of course, renowned for its sumptuous watercolor papers. It is not yet as well known for its beautiful sketching and drawing papers, at least in the United States where domestic competition is fierce. However, the range of sketching and drawing papers from Fabriano is spectacular, and is available in pads and albums.
